The Aporia
The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is conducting Operation Rosny, an inquiry into alleged corruption involving Strathfield councillors. On the current day of hearings, real estate agent Mohammad Abedin testified about his experiences working with former mayor Matthew Blackmore. Yesterday's proceedings revealed Jeremy Greenwood denying a financial arrangement with Charles Perrottet to share in $2 million from Jean Nassif. Despite this denial, there was no documentation supporting Anita Perrottet’s work for which she received payment. Additionally, Jean Nassif preferred not to outline large project payments to Greenwood in written agreements, and Greenwood failed to explain why Beckington sent invoices totaling nearly $1 million to Toplace on a single day. The inquiry also noted the involvement of companies like JPG Advisory and Beckington’s firm in these transactions.
