Edward Villa, a 45-year-old employee of the North Clackamas School District, allegedly murdered three people inside a suburban home in Happy Valley, Oregon on Tuesday around 12:30 p.m. Police discovered the bodies during a welfare check for a missing person. The identities of the victims have not been released, and it is unknown if Villa had any connection to them. After the killings, Villa reportedly died at a motel near Portland on Wednesday. Villa, described as a gun enthusiast, had previously posted about his weapons collection on Facebook. Authorities identified him within 24 hours and the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office called the incident “heartbreaking.” The school district informed parents that Villa worked as a student and community engagement specialist but was not at work during the events. His cause of death has not been officially disclosed, though police speculate he may have taken his own life.
