Jalen Hurts, quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, has been placed on injured reserve due to a blood clot in his body. According to NFL insider Jay Glazer, Hurts will only return this season if the clot is "completely melted," indicating it could be a life-or-death situation if not properly treated. Placing Hurts on IR means he'll miss at least four games: Sunday's game against the Panthers and subsequent matchups with the Cowboys, Commanders, and Giants. ESPN reported that Hurts will be out indefinitely, with Tanner McKee starting in his place for now. The Eagles have also signed Joe Milton from the Dallas Cowboys’s practice squad to bolster their roster during Hurts's absence.
