A Russian drone attack on a train on Ukraine's border with NATO member Poland was meant to scare Western countries supporting Ukraine, European Union's foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said Monday.

Another train, with former CIA director David Petraeus onboard, was still at Yahodyn station when the drone struck, according to Ukrzaliznytsia.

Russia has begun targeting Ukraine's border crossings with its Western allies in recent weeks, part of a growing campaign by both sides to erode the other's economic infrastructure more than four years into Russia's invasion.
