Peter O'Ryan, a 48-year-old Victorian man, allegedly attacked his elderly parents and brother with an axe in the town of Tyers on Saturday at around 12:30pm. The victims, who are 76, 74, and 47 years old, were airlifted to The Alfred hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police issued a warrant for O'Ryan's arrest and conducted a widespread search, but he was not found until Wednesday evening when he was spotted loitering near Tyers-Walhalla Road. He is now in custody and will be interviewed over the incident. The family members remain in critical but stable condition at the hospital. This is considered one of the most serious cases of family violence in Victoria, according to Detective Senior Sergeant Rod Findlay.
