Two US Navy aviators were forced to eject from their aircraft on Monday evening while attempting to land on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, stationed off the coast of Virginia. The "mishap" occurred around 6:18 PM and resulted in injuries to four shipboard personnel, one of whom required hospitalization for non-life-threatening injuries. Both pilots were successfully rescued from the water and returned to the carrier where they underwent medical evaluation. Naval officials did not disclose details about the type of aircraft involved or the cause of the incident. The Navy stated that regular emergency training allowed crew members to respond quickly and safely during this event.
