Israeli military forces have been firing at the Gaza Strip, causing at least two deaths and several injuries on August 31, according to medics. This incident is part of a larger pattern of violence in which more than 1,300 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 2025. The Israeli military claims its actions are aimed at preventing attacks by Hamas and other militants, but Hamas accuses Israel of violating a U.S.-backed ceasefire that was supposed to end major fighting in the area. Meanwhile, in recent days, Israeli fire has also killed four children across Gaza and the occupied West Bank, including 4-year-olds Hassan al-Hafi and Muhammad Abdel Salam Taha, 10-year-old Amal Nash’at Abu Khater, and 14-year-old Islam Ahmed Ajouri.
Israel continues to ensure kids in Gaza have no childhood – whether by killing them, displacing them, wounding them, imprisoning them, and/or starving them
