The Aporia
Layne Lundeen, a 67-year-old Arizona realtor, had to be duct-taped to his first-class seat on an American Airlines flight from Dallas, Texas, to Newark, New Jersey, after he allegedly went on a racist and homophobic rant mid-flight in early November. The incident forced the plane to make an emergency landing at Baltimore airport where Lundeen was arrested. He faced two charges of second-degree assault and disorderly conduct and appeared before a judge the following day. In court, Lundeen claimed he had no recollection of the event, saying, "I don’t remember any of what happened." His bizarre behavior led to his termination from his job as a realtor after the incident went viral online.
