As of October 26, 2026, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) reported capturing Ukrainian agents who were allegedly planning a drone attack on Moscow’s air defense system and an electricity facility. According to the FSB, two men from the South Caucasus region were acting under instructions from Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU). These individuals retrieved First Person View drones and explosives from two Russian regions, transported them to the Moscow area, and prepared the drones for activation. The plan was to remotely control the drones from Ukraine. One suspect had been recruited by an SBU officer in exchange for a monetary reward, with the goal of carrying out sabotage. The FSB detained the suspects while they were setting up the attack on infrastructure.
