A Florida woman named Shadaryl Eddie, 28, has been arrested in Oakland Park on charges related to stealing her dead sister’s identity. According to court documents filed in Broward County, Eddie was accused of obtaining a public housing voucher using her deceased sister's birth certificate and Social Security card. This occurred on March 12, 2025, after her sister died on December 11, 2024. The property owner received a letter from the housing authority demanding payment of $8,357 for Eddie’s rental property due to the fraudulent voucher.
