Tara Sinchuri, a Bhutanese man who owned a jewelry store along Dixie Highway in Fairfield, Ohio, died on Tuesday after being shot during what police believe was an attempted robbery. No suspect has been arrested four days after the incident occurred. Sinchuri, known for his contributions to the Bhutanese community in Cincinnati, had previously helped with various community events and made donations. His friend Tara Dahal told local television channel WCPO 9 News that this was likely the first time someone from their community had been shot and killed in a similar incident, which has now scared other immigrant business owners in the area.
