What happened

After striking out in his first at-bat Thursday night, Ohtani delivered the kind of moment the Dodgers had been waiting for all October, unloading on a down-and-in cutter from ex-Dodger Dustin May to give the Dodgers an early 4-0 lead in their elimination game.
“We got down early tonight and we were like, it’s going to be a great story,” Brewers veteran Christian Yelich said.
Milwaukee made their only previous World Series appearance as an AL team in 1982, falling in seven games to the St Louis Cardinals.
Alex Vesia replaced Phillips and walked Bauers on four pitches to tie the game.
