Mr. Tusk said at the moment Russia was not ready for any peace talks “without the total capitulation of Ukraine.” “They are convinced the winter will be tragically critical for Ukraine.”
Mr Tusk added: 'There is a real risk that drones or other types of missiles could penetrate the territory of one or more countries on the eastern flank and even cause damage, while the official explanation will be that there was an accident.'

“If this happens, the location will be announced very soon,” Mr. Trump wrote.
Poland's high defence spending and major U.S. arms purchases have persuaded the Trump administration to consider putting a permanent base in Poland even as it reorganises and reduces its overall military presence in Europe.

Tusk announced on Thursday he would travel to Ukraine overnight to Friday, in what can be seen as an act of defiance against Russia after European leaders narrowly escaped a drone strike on a train near the Polish-Ukrainian border on Sunday.
The Kremlin’s main goal now, as supported by evidence gathered by intelligence services, is to destroy Ukraine’s economy and logistics and weaken NATO’s resolve by attacks on its member states, Tusk said in parliament on Thursday.
“Sustained, very frequent and intense attacks are expected on six major Ukrainian cities, including the destruction of warehouses, all types of products essential for the country’s defense, and, as we have witnessed very strongly in recent weeks, the railway infrastructure,” the prime minister said.
