DETROIT — After months of proclaiming support for the Democratic ticket, Rep. Haley Stevens has endorsed GOP Michigan Senate candidate Mike Rogers over her former primary rival Abdul El-Sayed, less than 48 hours before Election Day.
What happened
The outlets' own sentences, most widely reported first. Hover or tap one to see who reported it.
El-Sayed responded, accusing Stevens of being “intent on relitigating a primary that ended three months ago.”
“As you may have seen, our Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, Abdul, said that I was no longer welcome in his campaign and that I should stay away,” Stevens said in a Twitter video Sunday.
The move came after Stevens was uninvited to a joint event the same day with El-Sayed as he campaigned for the Michigan seat.
El-Sayed's campaign had said he had nothing to do with the ad and criticized the contents of the ad on Saturday.
