“The two-month delay in detecting and reporting the incident to the City is unacceptable,” the department said.
Philadelphia police said the tip “was flagged as spam and was never forwarded to the Real-Time Crime Center for investigative vetting or dissemination”.
The Philadelphia Police Department said the false submission was made in July through PhillyUnsolvedMurders.com, a public website where people can share information about unsolved killings.
Anthropic notified the Philadelphia Police Department of the incident on Oct. 7 and said it plans to publish a report on Friday describing what happened and "other instances of unintended model behavior," Sergeant Eric Gripp, public information officer for the department, said in a statement shared with CBS News.
