Sergej Jakirovic has been named Barclays Manager of the Month for August by the Premier League.
The Hull head coach has pipped Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Chelsea’s Xabi Alonso and Manchester City’s Enzo Maresca to the award from a mixture of fan votes and a committee panel.
The Tigers beat Manchester United and Coventry last month, without conceding a goal."
