"Thames Water said a burst on Leatherhead Road had affected customers in the KT9 area and that its specialist team was on site carrying out repairs.
A Thames Water spokesperson said: "We're sorry to customers in the Chessington area who are currently without water, and to anyone whose plans to visit have been affected following today's outage."
The company said most customers should have had their supply back to normal by 13:20 BST with temporary measures put in place while a permanent repair is completed."
