"At a national level, just 25 per cent of people diagnosed with dementia were prescribed an AChEI in the last year, 23 per cent were prescribed memantine and 6.1 per cent were prescribed both an AChEI and memantine.
Someone diagnosed with dementia in North East and North Cumbria is almost nine times more likely to receive combination dementia treatment than someone in Somerset.
However, the proportion of people prescribed an AChEI ranged from 11.7 per cent in Somerset to 31.1 per cent in Lincolnshire, while the proportion prescribed memantine ranged from 9.7 per cent in Birmingham and Solihull to 35.4 per cent in Gloucestershire."
