"Carney says U.S. made 'unacceptable' demands
Prime Minister Mark Carney told reporters that Canadian negotiators walked away from the talks after the Trump administration made "unacceptable" demands, including restrictions on Canada's ability to make trade deals with other countries.

Carney also announced that his government would impose reciprocal, "dollar for dollar" tariffs on U.S. goods, starting Sept. 8."
