The Metropolitan Police has paused its investigation into the murder of a man who helped convict a gang of rapists when he was just 14, telling his family that the decision was due to a lack of resources.
Abraham Badru, 26, was shot dead outside his home in Hackney, east London, in March 2018.
Eight years on, no suspects have been identified and the Met has told his parents that 'no active investigative steps are being undertaken at present'.
A senior detective told the family: 'This is primarily due to resourcing pressures."
