"The bird escaped at about 8.45 am on September 12 from a Ramapo petting zoo, prompting a response from officers from the local police department Officer's were led on a wild emu chase through the streets of New York before the feathered fiend was eventually tracked down, peacefully detained and escorted back to it's enclosure The police department later took to social media to share the hilarious interaction and boast their success, writing 'We don't know why the chicken crossed the road, but the emu crossed the road because Sgt Anton didn't give it an option'"
