"In 1992, when there were scarce few out lawyers, findlay founded SOGIC (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Community) within the B.C. chapter of the Canadian Bar Association, bringing together LGBTQ lawyers to raise their visibility among their colleagues and to share strategies and support in their fight to advance queer and trans rights in the courts."
