The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in Pakistan arrested a man in Faisalabad on October 20 for allegedly defrauding people through a TikTok account offering fake Saudi Arabia visas. The agency stated that the suspect used fabricated documents and transferred fraudulent money into bank accounts, working with other co-suspects. During their investigation, NCCIA recovered two mobile phones, 10 fake SIM cards, an Easypaisa account, and a merchant account.
NCCIA Director General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi warned that strict legal action will be taken against those using social media to scam people with false promises of overseas jobs and visas. He advised citizens not to transfer money without verifying visa offers on these platforms and to report any suspicious accounts immediately to the agency. Financial fraud is the most reported cybercrime, making up 48% of all complaints in 2026.
