Paulson Adebo of the New York Giants returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since being placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury sustained in the season's opening game. The cornerback, who is in the second year of a three-year, $54 million deal, missed four games after initially being sidelined and has sat out five consecutive games before this return. Adebo’s comeback could see him back on the field as soon as Sunday when the Giants face the Houston Texans.
However, the team's defensive secondary remains depleted with Jevon Holland (concussion) and Greg Newsome II (concussion) also missing practice Wednesday. Rookie cornerback Colton Hood returned to practice after sitting out due to a concussion in Sunday’s loss against Jacksonville. Additionally, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds missed practice because of a shoulder injury.
The Giants will be challenged by the Texans this weekend as quarterback C.J. Stroud is performing well recently, especially following their last game where they showed significant offensive prowess against Jacksonville.
