Landry’s Inc., owned by Texas mega-billionaire Tilman Fertitta, is purchasing bankrupt Fireman Hospitality Group for $22 million, rescuing three of its most iconic Manhattan venues from recent business troubles. Expected to close soon, this deal will give Fertitta control over high-volume restaurants Trattoria Dell’Arte, Fiorello’s, and Bond 45. These establishments are strategically located near key landmarks such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and on a block with three Broadway theaters. The fate of six other Fireman properties remains uncertain; they include the Paris Bar in the Le Meridien Central Park Hotel, Brooklyn Delicatessen, and two Manhattan branches of Brooklyn Diner. Sources suggest these venues might either be closed or have their leases put up for sale by Landry’s.
