The body of Douglas Craigie, 49, was recovered on Wednesday morning during a search for a missing fishing vessel off the coast of Port of Ness in the Outer Hebrides. The two other crew members, Norman Murray (40) and Murdo Morrison (23), along with the boat named Kilda, have not been found despite extensive rescue efforts involving HM Coastguard, RNLI, and Police Scotland. Searches were suspended on Thursday due to severe weather conditions, and as of now, the search has been called off pending any new information. The incident has deeply affected the local community; a GoFundMe campaign was launched by the Western Isles Fishermen’s Association to support the families impacted by this tragedy, raising over £6,000 for them.
