In Greater Manchester, a husband in his sixties has admitted drugging and raping his wife over more than two decades, starting from 2004. He pleaded guilty to 60 charges at the Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, including 21 counts of rape, 15 counts of assault by penetration, 11 counts of sexual assault, one count of sharing intimate images without consent, and administering a substance with intent. The trial involves 12 other men, aged from 28 to 74, who are charged with sexually abusing the same woman between September 2018 and November 2025, all of whom have denied the charges. The victim's wife watched the proceedings in the public gallery, supported by her family members.
