The Beekeeper is a new English-inspired micro-pub located in Fellworth Flats, one of the few remaining sandstone structures in Bondi. This heritage-listed building now houses a cozy pub dedicated to Britpop music and traditional British fare like mushy peas and Guinness on tap. The pub features cushioned booths, sandstone walls, and stained-glass lightshades reminiscent of the TV show Cheers. It also serves its own beer, Keepers Cask ale, made in nearby Newtown.
The menu includes hearty dishes such as steak pie with flaky pastry and Cumberland sausage with gravy. The cocktail offerings are diverse, featuring classics like negronis and martinis, as well as a Clover Club cocktail made with gin, dry vermouth, raspberry syrup, and lemon juice. Patrons can also customize their Bloody Marys by substituting vodka for tequila or gin.
The Beekeeper is described as hospitable and family-friendly, welcoming both dogs and customers seeking comfort food in a nostalgic setting.
