The Patriots activated star receiver A.J. Brown from injured reserve on Saturday, October 14, 2026, ahead of their Sunday matchup against the Jets at Gillette Stadium. Brown had been sidelined since suffering a high ankle sprain in the team’s season opener on September 9, missing four games as a result. He returned to practice this week and was welcomed back with an extended ovation before the game. Despite his return, he did not catch any passes during the Patriots' first series when quarterback Drake Maye targeted him on third down. Brown had played only 31 snaps in the season opener before leaving early due to injury.
