The Tampa Bay Lightning staged a comeback on Saturday, defeating the Vancouver Canucks 4-2 despite falling behind by two goals early in the game. Nikita Kucherov scored twice and Jake Guentzel contributed one goal and an assist for the winning score in the third period. Dennis Hildeby made 12 saves, while the Lightning also received a pair of assists from Brayden Point, improving their home record to 5-0 this season.
The Canucks had taken a 2-0 lead early on, with goals from Pontus Holmberg and Elias Pettersson, but Kucherov's quick response tied the game. The Canucks' losing streak extended to seven games overall (0-6-1) after their five-game road trip ended winless at 0-4-1.
Kevin Lankinen made 31 saves for Vancouver, but it was not enough as Guentzel’s goal sealed the Lightning's victory late in the third period.
