On October 17, 2026, Daniel Dubois retained his WBO heavyweight title by decisively defeating Fabio Wardley in a rematch at London’s O2 Arena. The fight lasted only two rounds, with Dubois flooring Wardley inside the first 20 seconds and continuing to dominate throughout. Despite Wardley's resilience in May when he absorbed heavy punishment before losing via stoppage, this time he struggled significantly under Dubois' relentless pressure, leading his corner to throw in the towel after the second round.
Dubois’ victory was his second consecutive stoppage win over Wardley since reclaiming the title from him in Manchester earlier this year. The 29-year-old British boxer extended his professional record to 24 wins (with 23 by knockout) and three defeats, further cementing his status as Britain's leading heavyweight fighter.
The rematch drew a sell-out crowd of 19,000 fans at the O2 Arena who cheered for both fighters but ultimately saw Dubois' dominance.
