A 50-year-old father and his two sons, five and seven years old, were stranded at sea for more than 16 hours after their rented jet ski capsized off the coast of Thailand on Thursday evening. The family had rented the jet ski for a 45-minute ride on the island of Koh Samui but rough waves struck the vessel, causing it to capsize. Rescuers searched for the family overnight and into Friday morning before finding them drifting at sea around 10:00 local time on Friday. The family was taken to hospital for checks but were discharged shortly afterwards, appearing "pale" and "exhausted after swallowing a lot of seawater".
