Glamour Gran Ann, a 71-year-old from Surrey, participated in the Miss Great Britain beauty pageant on October 14, 2026. She competed in the Classic category, open to women aged 45 and over, but missed out on the top five spots despite being up against contestants as young as 45. Although she did not win, Ann Harper received the "impact over image" award for her participation. The overall winners of Miss Great Britain and Ms Great Britain were Yazmin McClean from Belfast and Holly Pirrie from Warrington, respectively. Harper uses her platform to advocate for age positivity and greater visibility for older women while raising awareness for causes like Clasp, a charity that supports older people and combats loneliness.
