Police have launched Strike Force Mexvo to investigate a series of sexual assaults on women walking on northern Sydney beaches' trails since October 1. Five incidents were reported over seven days, with the most recent occurring on October 12. The perpetrator is reportedly riding an e-bike and has been described as being of slim build, wearing a fluorescent yellow shirt and dark pants during one incident. Another description places him as Caucasian, aged between 17-25, with short spiky hair and sideburns. On October 17, police released CCTV images of the suspected e-bike rider to assist their investigation. Authorities have also increased patrols around Narrabeen Lagoon in response to these incidents.
