Johannes Kongsnes Natland, a 19-year-old Norwegian teenager, was sentenced to 20 years detention on October 13, 2026, at Woolwich Crown Court in London. Natland had been found guilty of conspiracy to murder after being recruited by the proscribed Swedish Foxtrot gang, an Iran-backed group involved in orchestrating violence against Jewish and Israeli targets in Europe. The court heard that Natland agreed to shoot an unknown target for £21,500 and was arrested in Huddersfield with two firearms and 19 rounds of live ammunition just hours before he planned to carry out the hit. Despite admitting possession of weapons, Natland claimed he would have shot himself rather than go through with the murder plot but was convicted after a retrial. Commander Helen Flanagan of Counter Terrorism Policing London highlighted the role of British police working with Norwegian counterparts in arresting Natland, preventing a potential assassination planned by the Foxtrot Network, described as "violence-as-a-service" by Europol.
