Dale Smith Jr., 55, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder on October 14, 2026, nearly 15 years after Michelle Parker vanished in November 2011. Parker disappeared shortly after dropping off her twins at Smith’s home and appearing on a pre-recorded episode of "The People's Court," where they argued over a $5,000 engagement ring. Police used new digital forensics to clear the way for charges against Smith, who was identified as the last person to see Parker alive before her car was found abandoned. Despite extensive searches, Parker’s remains have never been located. Orlando Police Chief Eric D. Smith confirmed that all evidence points to Dale Smith Jr. being responsible for Michelle’s murder.
