Kai Trump, a 19-year-old freshman at the University of Miami and member of the Canes’ women’s golf team, underwent wrist surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York after sustaining an injury during her first college tournament in September. Kai is the daughter of former model Vanessa Trump and businessman Donald Trump Jr. She shared a photo on Instagram from her hospital bed with her bandaged arm in a sling. While she had hoped to avoid surgery, Kai stated that it was necessary for her long-term health and future in golf. Her recovery period will be lengthy, but she expressed gratitude for the support she has received and emphasized the importance of positive mindset during challenges.
