Arsalan Chaudhary, who received a four-year prison sentence for his role in the Toronto Pearson airport gold heist and is now testifying at the trial of another accused man, Parmpal Sidhu, has revealed that he took 30% of the stolen gold. Chaudhary stated he was kidnapped and tortured in Pakistan, where he surrendered his share of the loot worth more than $22 million to captors who contacted him via FaceTime calls from Canada. The trial is ongoing as Sidhu pleads not guilty to charges including theft over $5,000 and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence related to the 2023 heist. Chaudhary also implicated Simran Preet Panesar, a wanted Air Canada employee believed to be living in India, as the key inside man who aided him in the crime.
