At least 5 people have died and 86 are missing after a fire broke out on the MV June Aster passenger ferry in the Philippines. The ferry, which was carrying 134 people, including 117 passengers and 17 crew members, was traveling from Manila to Coron when it caught fire at around 10:45 PM GMT on Wednesday evening. The blaze is still burning as of Thursday morning, with thick smoke making it difficult for rescuers to approach the vessel. Rescuers have managed to save 43 people so far, but many more are unaccounted for. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
