Siromi Turaga, the justice minister of Fiji, resigned after an intimate video involving him went viral online. Despite the scandal, Turaga plans to remain a member of parliament and part of Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s People’s Alliance party. Earlier, Prime Minister Rabuka had stated he would only take action against Turaga if credible proof was provided, as reported by The Fiji Sun on Monday. Now that the video has surfaced, Rabuka accepted Turaga's resignation but did not comment further on the matter.
