Story summary

On October 7, Saudi Arabia reported that three individuals were killed in attacks on two international airports, one each in Riyadh and Abha, following claims by Yemen's Houthi rebels. At Abha International Airport, an Egyptian and Algerian national died along with 28 wounded; at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, a Sudanese national was killed alongside eight others injured. The Saudi-led coalition fighting the Houthis stated it had intercepted missiles aimed at both locations. These attacks escalated tensions as the conflict deepens between Iran-backed Houthi rebels and forces supported by Saudi Arabia, which backs Yemen’s government.
