The Aporia
Marvin Harrison Jr., the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison and No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, was listed as inactive for Week 5 by the Arizona Cardinals, amidst trade rumors swirling around him. The younger Harrison had only five receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown through Arizona's first four games of the season. ESPN reported that the Houston Texans finalized a deal with the Cardinals on Sunday to acquire Harrison in exchange for a second-round pick, two sixth-round picks, and a seventh-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. Harrison expressed dissatisfaction with his reduced role in Arizona's offense after starting strong as a rookie but seeing his production decline over the last year. The trade comes amid speculation that Michael Wilson and All-Pro tight end Trey McBride have been favored in the Cardinals' game plan, making Harrison an afterthought despite being seen as a high-potential player when drafted out of Ohio State.
