Luca Opperman, a 20-year-old college student and former gymnast, was identified as the hero who used a spatula to defend himself against a woman wielding a large, sharpened wooden stick at an In-N-Out restaurant in Lake Elsinore, California. The woman had become upset because her burger wasn't made fast enough, but Opperman didn't hesitate when he heard yelling and saw the woman smashing objects inside the restaurant. He jumped through the window like a superhero, using his agility to confront the woman and disarm her with the spatula. A witness described his entrance as "like Spiderman or Jackie Chan," and Opperman told KTLA that he acted instinctively without thinking twice about what he was doing.
