On Friday night's Lotto Max draw in Canada, no ticket matched all seven numbers, leading to a record-breaking jackpot of $85 million, the largest prize in Canadian lottery history. Lotto Spot street teams are set to engage with people across the prairies next week by asking them: "What would you do with $85 million?" Kevin van Egdom, a spokesperson for Lotto Spot, highlighted the excitement surrounding this milestone and noted that the last major win was shared between players from Hamiota, Man. and Quebec in December 2024.
The upcoming draw on Tuesday, Oct. 13, will also offer 16 prizes of $1 million and an additional 85 prizes of $100,000 each, enhancing the appeal of the lottery. Earlier this year, Lotto Max increased its jackpot cap to $90 million and introduced new $100,000 prizes on every draw.
