The Aporia
Secret Service Director Sean Curran revealed on CBS's 60 Minutes that President Donald Trump was secretly transferred to a smaller military aircraft during his July trip to Turkey. Trump boarded the former Air Force One but minutes later, he was covertly moved to an Air Force C-32A inside an airport catering truck used for delivering supplies. The larger Boeing 747 continued as a decoy with media and some White House staff onboard while Trump, joined by War Secretary Pete Hegseth and aides Natalie Harp, Dan Scavino, and Walt Nauta, left on the alternate aircraft. This security maneuver was in response to an Iranian assassination threat against the president and was not the first time such a tactic had been used by the Secret Service. Curran expressed concern that revealing these tactics could compromise future operations.
