The Aporia
Tropical Storm Isaias, forming off eastern Mexico on October 7, is expected to intensify into a Category 2 hurricane by early October 10 and make landfall along the U.S. Gulf Coast. The storm currently poses threats of dangerous wind, storm surge, heavy rain, and possible tornadoes for areas stretching from Louisiana to the western Florida Panhandle, including impacting Alabama where top-ten college football teams Alabama and Georgia are scheduled to play on October 14. President Trump also planned to attend the game in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Due to these threats, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency for 25 counties to prepare for potential severe weather impacts along the Panhandle and Big Bend region.
