She was diagnosed in November 2024, and while it can't be cured, it can be managed effectively. The disease causes the body to produce too many red blood cells, leading to a higher risk of developing blood clots, strokes, and heart attacks if left untreated. Moshiri has had to undergo regular treatment, including having over a pint of blood drawn from her body every month, which has left her feeling exhausted and sick. Despite the challenges, she is optimistic about managing her condition and says that it won't define her life. Moshiri wants to raise awareness about PV and encourage support for research into more effective treatments with fewer side effects.
