The Aporia
Students in France have been protesting for over a week, starting in Paris, against poor school conditions such as overcrowding and understaffing. More than 500 schools across the country are affected, with at least 65 staff members injured during the unrest. The protests began peacefully but escalated into violent clashes between students and police, who used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse crowds. Over 5,000 people have been arrested since September 28th. Major demonstrations continue to be planned, with tens of thousands expected in Paris on October 6th, as labor unions join the protests.
