Walker Kessler, a center for the Los Angeles Lakers, signed a four-year, $140 million contract with the team in July after being traded from the Utah Jazz. Around the same time, he got engaged to Abbie Stockard, who was crowned Miss America 2025. Recently, Stockard posted on Instagram about completing her nursing school at Auburn, marking the end of a three-year journey and beginning a preceptorship phase in her career. She celebrated with friends but did not mention Kessler's presence or where she will start her preceptorship.

Story summary
Walker Kessler, the center for the Los Angeles Lakers, signed a four-year, $140 million contract with the team via a sign-and-trade with the Utah Jazz in July 2023. Around the same time, he got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Abbie Stockard, who was crowned Miss America 2025 that year. While Kessler prepares for the upcoming NBA season, Stockard is completing a significant milestone in her personal life by finishing nursing school at Auburn University and starting a preceptorship, as she mentioned on Instagram. Her post showed her posing next to Auburn’s Nursing Building and highlighted her journey over three years since her first day of classes. Though Kessler was not present in the photos celebrating Stockard's achievement, it remains unclear where her new preceptorship will take place, though speculation suggests it might be in Los Angeles to stay close to him during his basketball season.
