Min Aung Hlaing, leader of Myanmar’s military-backed government, traveled to Malaysia for talks on Wednesday, despite international criticism over repatriation efforts involving thousands of Myanmar nationals. During his two-day visit, which began at the military airport in Naypyitaw, Min Aung Hlaing is scheduled to meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and participate in a business dialogue with Malaysian Cabinet members. The trip aims to facilitate the return of displaced citizens from Malaysia back to Myanmar amidst ongoing regional tensions over human rights issues related to repatriation processes.
